HILLBROW DIARY Monday 9th. November to Sunday 15th. November

Pamper Morning
On Monday 2nd November we had tea and papers in the lounge before enjoying a Pamper morning whilst listening to relaxing music. During the afternoon we enjoyed a film and some of us played dominoes and cards.

On Tuesday 10th. November we enjoyed a word search based on the phrase ‘Coronation Street’ and during the afternoon we enjoyed a tea dance.

On Wednesday 11th. November we did some gentle exercises and enjoyed a short story activity during the morning. In the afternoon we enjoyed an arts and social afternoon.

On Thursday 12th. November we played bingo during the morning.

Virtual Musicals Afternoon
In the afternoon we enjoyed a trip to the ‘West End’ in our virtual Musicals afternoon. We enjoyed guessing famous musicals by listening and singing along to some extremely well-known songs everything from ‘Do Re Mi’ to ‘Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious.’ We also learnt a little of their history and enjoyed seeing some of the old film posters that promoted them back in the day.

Rod who recalled the musical Oliver from the song ‘Food Glorious Food’-
Rod told me his favourite musical was West Side Story which was also featured during the afternoon.

Eric with Calamity Jane poster he very much enjoyed reminiscing and listening to the songs. Eric and his wife used to go to many musicals in the West End.

She very much enjoyed the afternoon smiling, recalling and singing along to all the songs.

Beryl who loved ‘My Fair lady’

On Friday 13th. November we did some gentle exercises and then enjoyed a game of Hillbrow Hangman. During the afternoon we enjoyed some meditation with Sugar.
On Saturday 14th. November we enjoyed word games and reminiscence, then on Sunday 15th. watched an afternoon film. Some of us also enjoyed some bubbles!
