Our Staff
A dedicated team of highly qualified staff look after the residents.
Comprehensive training and development programmes are key to the first class standard of care the staff provide. We have been awarded Investors in People status, underlining Mrs Lee's commitment to providing excellent care and providing good training and development for her staff.
We have in-house trainers and assessors for all levels of training. When a new member of staff joins the team, they are encouraged to join the NVQ2 training course to become part of the highly qualified team.
Our Manager at Woodlands, Vicky Ayling has been working for us for over 14 years and specialises in staff training. The Manager at Hill Brow is Helen Wolff, a vibrant manager who builds and leads her team. She is a qualified NQV assessor and has made caring for the Residents of Hill Brow her vocation.
The Deputy Managers at both Woodlands and Hill Brow have the RMS level 4. Many staff members have achieved NVQ4 and NVQ3. Development and leadership courses are often taken externally as are the more specialist subjects relating to elderly care. The Homes have achieved Investors In People Silver Award and we firmly believe in developing and training our staff.
As a policy we do not employ temporary or agency staff. A regular and committed team at the Homes ensures stability in the care we provide, our staffing ratios and continuity are well above the recommended standards for Residential care.
